TRACE GC Ultra Gas Chromatography
Thermo Scientific TRACE GC is designed to meet the higher productivity and sensitivity requirements of modern laboratories. The Ultra platform combines the reliability of TRACE GC with stronger system usability, performance, and automation technology. It solves various large volume and split/no split technologies, overcomes the sensitivity limitations of traditional GC, and does not require further investment, training, or method validation. It can be configured with up to two injection ports and three detectors, making it an ideal choice for analyzing crude oil, pesticides, carbohydrates, as well as identifying food and spices. Optional dedicated turnkey analyzer suitable for chemical and petrochemical applications.
TRACE GC UltraTM is Thermo Fisher's latest gas chromatograph, with its perfect engineering design that solves a series of GC technical problems on a large scale and with high quality, and achieves "Ultra" ultra fast detection. The TRACE GC Ultra has an independent pressure control system and an independent flow control system, ensuring high precision in pressure and flow operation.
The analysis speed of 'Ultra'
TRACE GC Ultra has ultra high speed temperature control capability, which only takes 7 minutes from the 50C heating channel to 450C, greatly reducing the analysis time of American and American samples. Widely used in the determination of crude oil, insecticides, and hydrocarbons, as well as in drug screening, food and spice analysis. If combined with traditional GC or MS detectors, it will further improve laboratory efficiency without affecting the resolution, accuracy, and reliability of the analysis.
The performance of 'Ultra'
The automatic column evaluation function key enables the reproduction of retention time between instruments and between chromatography columns, which has always been fast and direct in the method. The automatic leak detection function key makes instrument control and sample inlet maintenance more convenient.
System compatibility of 'Ultra'
TRACE GC Ultra can be easily configured with up to two injection ports and three detectors. The six conventional detectors (FID, ECD, NP,/FPD, PID, TCD) all have high sensitivity indicators. There are multiple options for injection ports, including split/non split injection ports (SL/SSL) and packed column injection, all of which can be used for large volume sampling. TRACE GC Ultra can also be equipped with ultra fast heating chromatography columns for ultra fast analysis, which is 20 times faster than conventional analysis and greatly shortens analysis time. And dedicated analyzers have been configured for applications in the fields of chemistry and petrochemicals, thereby enhancing the analytical capabilities of TRACE GC Ultra.
Ultra's system automation
Experimental results have shown that direct column heating technology can reduce the total analysis time to a level that traditional GC analysis cannot achieve. The experiment also discussed how TRACE GC Ultra simulated distillation of petroleum product components and hydrocarbons in environmental samples in less than 2 minutes.
The key to achieving the above detection is the use of highly progressive 20 degree/second heating program, rapid cooling time of about 1 minute, and precise retention time control technology. Therefore, these technologies greatly improve the efficiency of sample detection: analysis time can be reduced by 20 times without affecting detection accuracy.
